LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (June 28, 2022) – Encore Bank recently signed a lease agreement to secure a permanent location in the Apex SouthPark development at 3151 Apex Drive, Suite 102-A in Charlotte, NC.
Encore Bank will take a prominent position in this highly visible next-generation, mixed-use development, with a 6,100 square-foot space on the first floor when the buildout is completed this winter. Childress Klein represented the landlord in the transaction.
“Located in the heart of SouthPark, the Apex is the perfect location for Encore Bank to establish its presence in Charlotte,” said Ben Freeman, Encore’s Charlotte market president. “Having the office located here has been my goal since I joined Encore. The SouthPark area offers convenience for our employees and clients, it houses an excellent network of residents and businesses in the community, and it is constantly growing while maintaining its legacy character.”
In October of 2021, Encore Bank announced it would be expanding its footprint into Charlotte with Freeman leading the expansion. With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Freeman is a leader in commercial banking with expertise in leadership and team management, business development, financial analysis and treasury management. Freeman is currently building a team of dedicated and talented banking professionals while he works on the construction plan and interior design for the permanent, full-service branch.
“We are thrilled Encore Bank has selected the Apex development in the SouthPark submarket to build their presence in Charlotte,” said Scott Wilson, partner at Childress Klein. Their hospitality-inspired and high-quality approach to banking will be a great complement and addition to the dynamic Apex project and SouthPark area.”
Established in 2019, Encore Bank is the fastest organically growing bank in the country among banks with total assets greater than $750 million, according to data collected from S&P Global Market Intelligence. The bank is currently operating in 19 markets across nine states. Four of those markets are in the Carolinas: Charlotte, Charleston, Greenville and the Piedmont Triad (Winston-Salem).
“This is an exciting time at Encore Bank, and we are looking forward to becoming part of the SouthPark Apex development,” said Freeman. “We are leveraging the talents and expertise of our associates to build a different kind of bank, offering technology that is convenient for our clients and partners all while maintaining the high standard that Charlotte has set for itself as a leader in the financial services industry.”
